Heather wanted to feel good in her body, increase energy, and wear clothes with confidence. Heather hired us (a staff of licensed Diet Doc nutrition coaches and certified personal trainers) to help achieve her goals.

She lost 22 pounds in just 12 weeks.

A year later, she is 30 pounds lighter and has maintained her new physique for over 8 months.

 

Heather knew that true change would take time and didn’t think twice about extending her program after the initial 12 weeks. One year later, during a pandemic no less, Heather is in the best shape of her life without doing excessive cardio or restricting her favorite foods.

That’s how Heather felt back when she signed up for our 12-week Awaken Your Nutrition program (first pic on the left, Dec. 2019).

She was rightfully skeptical that our program wouldn’t work for her, even though her friends achieved much success with us.

This badass emergency responder was doing high intensity cardio, barre classes, and yoga nearly 7 days a week on top of an already extremely active and demanding job.

Not only that, she was following the Whole30 protocol, soda wasn’t in the equation, and sweets were kept to a minimum.

All the effort Heather was applying to take care of her body and health seemed like it wasn’t translating outwardly.

 

Exactly one year later, Heather is 30 pounds lighter but more importantly, she FEELS like an absolute champion with enough energy to keep up with her active lifestyle! (first pic on the right, Dec. 2020).

Heather has become a master of trusting the process and enjoying all things in moderation.

She trains consistently, regularly does chin-ups, crushes deadlifts, but also takes time off when traveling.

She has sweets and Mezcal when she wants while also enjoying the benefits of stabilized blood sugar and high energy from her balanced meals throughout each day.

See... there is a time and place for cardio 😜

What works for them (or anyone for that matter) does not mean it will work for you❌

They are probably burning a ton more calories every day than the average 9-to-5er, so their nutrition requirements will be different immediately.

Trainers who participate in our 12-week Awaken Your Nutrition program are often more attached to diet myths and old beliefs surrounding food than our other members🙃

We know because we’ve been there🙏

After spending so many years of focusing on exercise alone, it can truly be an eye-opening, life-changing experience when you learn about true nutrition science, like...

👉carbs do not = fat storage

👉carbs include starchy vegetables, quinoa, grains, fruit, etc. - not just pizza, bread, and pasta

👉undereating, fasting, and low carb diets can put women in a fat-storing state while down-regulating metabolism

👉what you eat directly impacts hormones

👉your monthly period can be used as a fifth vital sign / report card of overall health
