As someone who struggled with alcohol addiction in the past, Devon understands how challenging it is to give up booze. She knows firsthand the pitfalls of trying to quit without support, failing at moderation, and waking up too often with regret and shame. Providing tools, guidance, and loving accountability, she helps people overcome cravings and thrive by removing alcohol from their lives.

Alongside coaching, Devon continues to work as a lead nurse in neonatal intensive care, attending births for high-risk infants and caring for babies and new moms. When babies are born, Devon is there for life-saving support as they transition to life outside of the womb.

Devon lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, their 10-year-old son, and goldendoodle therapy dog, where she enjoys outdoor adventures and weight lifting.

What Devon's Clients Are Saying...

M.H.

In the past, I tried not drinking during the week, but quite often, I would make an excuse to open a bottle of wine, and once the bottle was open, I had to finish it over the next few days because I didn’t want to waste it! Trying to have a break during the week wasn’t providing me with the tools to cope with stress or cravings.

Devon is a smart, encouraging, compassionate, knowledgeable, and creative coach. She can support you through your journey of quitting alcohol by giving you actionable steps and tools to get you through the tough moments when all you want to do is grab a drink. Devon listens to what works for you and builds a sustainable plan. She has deep knowledge and supports the body as a whole. After working with Devon, I feel empowered and relieved.

Before I started working with Devon, I was struggling with alcohol dependence, and I was in a cycle that I couldn't disrupt. I wasn't sleeping well, and my anxiety was through the roof. I was socially isolated, my relationships suffered, and I was just barely managing my responsibilities.

I tried AA very briefly, but I found it made me feel too victimized.  I wanted something more positive and private. Any hesitation I had at the beginning was gone in the first meeting.  I felt comfortable and supported by Devon right away. She helped me realize that I am capable of change and gave me the tools to overcome cravings.

I would recommend Devon to those who need help but feel like it's too hard to speak to people who don't know what you're going through. Devon is authentic, generous, and 100% committed to helping you achieve the results you're looking for.

Devon is a non-judgmental and supportive coach who offers many valuable tips and strategies to heal from alcohol. I immediately felt very comfortable and at ease with Devon. With her support and some practice, I was able to sit through the uncomfortable part of craving and trust that it would pass. Devon helped me regulate my sleep pattern, so staying alcohol-free is a no-brainer. I don’t even miss it, and there’s no way I would trade how I’m feeling for a hangover. I’m able to fall asleep naturally and have been sleeping through the night. Working with Devon was fun, emotional, and eye-opening. I felt very supported by her, and she really believed in me.

Immediately after my first session with Devon, where we established some goals: drink enough water, make a doctor's appointment, exercise more, and drink less alcohol, I felt empowered. Devon recommended an excellent doctor and held me accountable for scheduling the appointment - a life-changing experience. With Devon’s support, I am on track with health issues and making tremendous progress. Devon was a catalyst for me to investigate my health and take action to improve my health. Devon provides open dialog, goal creation, and accountability. She is comfortable to talk and interact with. I'm continuing with her as I continue my efforts.e.

The biggest surprise was that this type of coaching was something I didn't think I needed. Working with a health coach was a way to focus on quality-of-life strategies for which I didn't have someone to help me with. Working with Devon was a pleasure; very refreshing and reinvigorating.

Devon is intuitive, compassionate, insightful, and a fantastic listener. She was supportive and encouraging throughout the entire process. Her warmth and kindness exuded over the computer screen, and it felt like I had someone in my corner rooting for me to find more balance in my life.

Devon's Story

“Sobriety is a spiritual path that lights the way for the best days yet to come.”

I used to think alcohol was required for good times and bad, that it was the gateway to happiness and it would help me cope with difficult feelings. I tried moderating and taking breaks but always came back to the same place of overdoing it and waking up with regret and shame. I was sick and tired of waking up sick and tired and ruining yet another day.

I was checked out and numbed out and wasn’t truly present with my family. I was suffering from anxiety and exhausted from thinking about alcohol, and I wasn’t coming close to hitting my fitness goals.

When I finally decided not to let that poison steal my soul anymore, I experienced an awakening. And from there, I gained confidence and clarity and experienced more meaning in my life.  Now I know that I can experience uncomfortable feelings and still survive without trying to escape.

I realized that true empowerment comes when you truly show up just as you are without the need for intoxication. And everyone in your life benefits because you are fully present.

You don’t have to hit rock bottom or resonate with the label of an alcoholic to decide that you want to make a change. Often, all it takes to stop drinking is a willingness to try something different. With support from a coach, you can understand why you think you need alcohol, and you can tap into your inner wisdom to make healthier choices. Your body and soul know what is best for you, all you have to do is learn how to listen.

Most of the time, all you need is someone to have your back and show you the way to liberation. You’ll learn how to live in a new body and be guided by your intuition. Sobriety is a spiritual path that lights the way for the best days yet to come.

I still have moments where I feel like I can’t handle all that life throws at me, but I don’t experience the level of anxiety I was facing while I was drinking. I don’t snap as often as I used to. I feel like I’m truly living a healthy life and leading by example. I would not be a nurse coach if I was still drinking because it wasn’t until I made the decision to quit that “health coach” was able to pop into my brain. The universe was waiting for me to wake up, I suppose.

And I’m so glad I did because now I can help you.
