What we're giving up in January and beyond

Test, if you've been following us long enough, you know that we're not big on new year's resolutions. Even if they're made with great intentions, they usually fall flat in terms of execution and true transformation.

Why is that?

James Clear, author of one of our favorite books, Atomic Habits, shares that up to 92% of resolutions fail due to the following reasons:

  • Trying to change everything all at once
  • Starting with something too big
  • Focusing too much on a result or outcome instead of a ritual or process
  • Not changing your environment
  • Assuming small changes don't add up

And here are the solutions that he recommends:

  • Pick one thing and do it well (especially if it's a keystone habit - one that positively impacts every area of your life, like balancing your nutritional intake!)
  • Start with a small behavioral change that is so easy it's impossible to say no (ex: start with reading one page a day if you eventually want to read a book a month)
  • Focus on the behavior, systems, and processes, not the outcome (this one is so important and something we integrate fully into our programming to set our members up for long-term success) 
  • Set up your environment for success to support the healthy habits and lifestyle you desire. Willpower and motivation are fleeting. True transformation requires a change in environment to make it as easy as possible to make the best decisions.
  • Get 1% better each day. Small changes actually do add up and compound over time! In fact, the slower you implement new habits and lifestyle changes, the more likely you are to maintain them in the long run.

And while we don't necessarily jump on the resolution bandwagon (because let's be honest... we're constantly setting intentions and manifesting every day, week, month... always!), we did both come to the same conclusion during our recent manifestation workshop that we're no longer going to hide or play it small.

Not just in 2022 but indefinitely.

This means you can expect to see much more of us online, hosting workshops, collaborating with other industry coaches and entrepreneurs, documenting behind the scenes, sharing the emotional and spiritual aspects of our programming, and even starting that podcast we've been talking about for the last year : )

Since the start of the pandemic, we have been meeting every week in our community for powerful, life-changing meditation and breath work sessions. We are thrilled to announce that these collective gatherings are now open fully to the public!

We invite you to join us on Wednesdays from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time, or watch a replay on demand anytime to bring more intention and awareness into your day.

Each session begins with a guided meditation by Shannon Morse, co-founder of The Green Door Life and Quantum Healing Trauma Release Specialist, followed by a short group discussion. Then, we move into guided breath work by Odysseus Andrianos, expert in NLP, shadow work, breath work, and mindset programming.
