✨Thriving Through Rapid Change ✨

Uncategorized Oct 09, 2026

The last few months have been a whirlwind.

Every conversation we have—whether with friends, family, or our community—echoes the same feeling:

🔺 It feels like 2020 all over again. 🔺

Not because of a global shutdown, but because we are in the thick of another massive evolution as a human species.

The pace of change is accelerating faster than ever—culturally, technologically, socially, and energetically.

AI is reshaping the way we work, the economy is shifting, and people are questioning everything about how they live, eat, and take care of themselves.

We understand that this is unsettling for many.

But it’s also an opportunity.

We GET to be alive at this incredible time to create a future more in alignment with our values that prioritize well-being and a fulfilling life.

Because here’s the truth:

We are not going back to how things were before. We are moving into something entirely new.

And right now, in 2025, just like in 2020, we have a choice:

🔹 Get caught in the chaos an...

Why we Don't Rely on Meal Plans

Uncategorized Oct 09, 2026

[Today is the last day to save $500 on Group or 1:1 coaching 🎉]

Have you ever heard this saying?

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Most nutrition programs hand you the fish—a meal plan, a rigid set of rules, or a trendy supplement stack.

And sure, you might see short-term results.

But what happens when life gets busy?

When stress hits?

When you reach a plateau and the thing stops working?

When you’re out of routine, traveling, or navigating a new season of life?

You find yourself right back where you started.

Stuck. Frustrated. Wondering why nothing ever really lasts.

That’s exactly where Melissa was when she came to us.

She had tried everything—macro tracking, cutting carbs, fasting, HIIT workouts, even spending thousands on a "metabolism reset" with another coach.

Yet, no matter how many plans she followed, she kept gaining and losing the same 15 pounds.

She felt exhausted, frustrated, and completely dis...

Why Focusing on Muscle is More Important Than Fat Loss

Uncategorized Oct 09, 2026

Many of us have been conditioned to focus on weight loss and getting smaller.

But what if it’s our lack of muscle and under-fueling with the right nutrients that’s actually the problem?

We know now that low muscle mass and low muscle strength are directly linked to an increased risk of all-cause mortality.

That's why we integrate a muscle-centric approach to health and optimized body composition in all of our programming and offers.

At The Green Door Life, we believe that true health is about more than just looking fit—it’s about feeling strong, vibrant, and fully alive in your body.

Muscle is often thought of in terms of aesthetics, but it plays a much deeper role in our well-being.

It is a key driver of longevity, vitality, and resilience.

When we build and maintain muscle, we are not only supporting our metabolism but also reinforcing the foundation for a healthier, more vibrant life.

Let's unpack exactly WHY muscle mass is such a game-changer...

The Importance of Muscle ...

What falling off the wagon really means

Uncategorized Oct 09, 2026

Being “good” and eating “healthy” all week only to fall off the bandwagon every Friday is NOT a willpower problem.

It’s a strategy problem.

If your approach involves over-restricting food and skipping meals Monday through Friday, it’s no surprise you’re diving headfirst into  an entire box of pizza and cookies by the weekend.

No amount of willpower will keep a broken wagon rolling.

You need to upgrade to a modern car powered by sustainable, delicious, and energizing fuel for optimal performance.

For most people, constantly falling off track is NOT because you’re weak or undisciplined—it’s because the approach you’re using isn’t designed to work long-term.

Thinking that eating “healthy” means skipping breakfast, eating like a bird for lunch and cutting carbs is exactly why you’re stuck in the restrict-binge-restart cycle.

If you actually knew how to eat in a way that worked for you—one that aligned with your goals and tasted good—you wouldn’t feel the need to jump ship every we...

What is your relationship to food?

Uncategorized Oct 09, 2026

[Save $500 on Group or 1:1 coaching by January 26th]

For many of people, we've spent a lifetime struggling when it comes to food.

And eating has only become more complicated because we have access to more variety of food and others' opinions about food than ever before.

Past versions of us felt like:

Food just doesn’t like us.

We certainly can’t trust food.

And we don’t trust ourselves around it.

Food is an enigma. It's complex. It's overwhelming.

We don't even know where to start with food, what to cook, how and when to eat without some disastrous consequence.

Food isn’t our friend and doesn’t serve us well, because every time we eat, we feel heavy, bloated, uncomfortable and hungry for more.

The very act of eating turns on a switch to CONSUME.

It’s like an ugly monster with an insatiable appetite looking to destroy anything in its path.

So, you try to avoid eating as much as possible.

You convince yourself you’re addicted to __________ food, and if you could just h...

Why losing weight isn't the best goal

Uncategorized Oct 09, 2026

[Save $500 on Group or 1:1 coaching by January 26th]

Over the past few weeks, we’ve noticed a trend: not one person we’ve spoken with has said weight loss was their top goal.

This is a huge victory from our perspective because we are moving farther away from the thin-obsessed culture of the 90s and beyond.

In our effort to be thin, we've collectively sacrificed our muscle mass, mood, energy, immune health, hormones and more.

Instead, people have shared that they're seeking something deeper:

  • Energy: Many feel mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually drained. Prioritizing their health often feels impossible — even though neglecting it only drains their energy further.

  • Longevity & Quality of Life: It’s not just about living longer but living better. Parents and grandparents want to be active participants in their loved ones’ milestones.

  • Muscle & Strength: People recognize the vital role of muscle mass in preventing conditions like Alzheimer’s (now referred to

Being Healthy Doesn’t Have to Be Hard

Uncategorized Oct 09, 2026

We worked with a client recently who casually mentioned to us near the end of her second week that she had been feeling extra hungry, tired and cranky.

This was beyond the 2-4 day window in which the body reaches a metabolic switch point after a few days of eating in balance when both glycogen (stored sugar / glucose) and triglycerides (stored fatty acids) somewhat deplete, so you move into burning body fat for fuel.

[Yes, there is an exact SCIENCE to safely bringing the body into fat loss. Not many functional nutritionists and macro coaches have this knowledge, but our entire team does: we are certified in metabolic science, specializing in permanent weight management, healthy body composition, exercise science and behavior change science. That's why our members get the best results long-term.]

Beyond that switch point in the first few days, most people have steady energy, a stable mood, comfortable fullness for hours after meals, and better sleep going forward.

When we asked this...

The era of information is OVER

Uncategorized Oct 09, 2026

Remember a few years ago when Instagram was just a photo-sharing app, reels and TikTok didn't deplete our dopamine yet, and Huberman wasn't doing 4 hour podcasts?

With the explosion of new technology and social media inundation, we've reached epic levels of information overload.

No longer are we processing our world slowly by flipping through the newspaper or reading a book in a calm state.

Instead, we're bombarded by polarizing claims 24/7 that feel like a threat to our nervous system.

We've allowed our brains to be constantly hijacked by extreme statements for engagement and algorithms.

Now, every scroll feels like a minefield of conflicting opinions:

One guru tells you to skip breakfast—even if you're hangry all day and fighting off a relentless appetite at night, when you are least insulin sensitive and not able to digest food optimally.

Another emphasizes zone 2 cardio and HIIT without considering stress levels, sleep quality and hormone status. Waking up at 5am on 6 hours...
